LINCOLN, Neb. – Another road defeat resulted in a losing Butler basketball season.

Isaiah Roby scored 28 points and James Palmer Jr. 23, and Nebraska kept the Tim Miles era going with an 80-76 victory Wednesday night in the National Invitational Tournament.

Butler trailed by 11 with 6 minutes to play but pulled within 69-65 on Aaron Thompson’s three-point play with 2:58 left. The lead was further trimmed to 71-70 on Jordan Tucker’s three-point play with 1:33 left.

The Cornhuskers had a 49-point second half and made enough free throws to prevent Butler, which led by 12 points early, from reclaiming the lead.
