Butler's NCAA tourney hopes take another hit

MILWAUKEE – Butler’s basketball season is on the brink.

NBA prospect Henry Ellenson scored a career-high 32 points, and Marquette held off the Bulldogs 75-69 Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Sophomore forward Kelan Martin scored a career-high 27 for Butler. Roosevelt Jones scored 15 – including a near 70-footer to end the half for the first 3-pointer of his career – but was shut out in the second half.

Kellen Dunham also scored 15 points. He had a shot at a tying 3-pointer with about 20 seconds left but missed.
