INDIANAPOLIS — If it takes guards to win in the NCAA basketball tournament, the Butler Bulldogs should be in good shape if they make it to March Madness.
Butler shot 58 percent, sinking 13-pointers, and defeated Norfolk State 91-55 Monday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Bulldogs, who led by as many as 44 points, had 26 assists on 32 field goals. Eleven Butler players had an assist, and 11 had field goals.
BOX SCORE: Bulldogs 91, Spartans 55
Butler has won 32 consecutive nonleague home games and is 24-0 under coach Chris Holtmann when scoring 80 or more points.
