Butler Track and Field will compete in California this week with 11 athletes split between two meets.
The Mt. SAC relays attract athletes of all levels from all over the country. Particularly during an Olympic year, the field is sure to be a fast one. High schoolers and collegians, along with some Masters participants, will compete in open, invitational and even Paralympic races, beginning on Thursday. Events will continue through Saturday.
Friday, sophomore Johnny Leverenz will compete in the 800-meter run. All-American Erik Peterson, junior Maddie Westerhoff, and freshman Jacob Priddey will toe the line for their respective 5,000-meter run races.
