While a large part of the Butler track and field squad continued preparations for competition at the Ball State Challenge Saturday, a handful of athletes wrapped up competition at the elite Mt. San Antonio College Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational in California.
At the 58th Annual Mt. SAC Relays Thursday, junior Colleen Weatherford clocked 10:40.52 in the women's open 3,000-meter steeplechase, good for 13th. Upperclassman Laura Riches was 20th in 11:27.66.
In the men's open invitational 10,000-meter run, sophomore Bobby Johnson was 20th overall, crossing the line in 30:00.76. Butler alum Tom Anderson, running unattached, was 16th in the same race with a time of 29:37.
