When Butler coach Chris Holtmann entered Hinkle Fieldhouse on Monday, he was not too concerned about the energy and focus his Bulldogs would have in their final nonconference game against IUPUI. The Bulldogs rewarded Holtmann's confidence, as they overwhelmed the Jaguars for a comfortable 92-54 victory.
“I can’t say enough about our leadership,” Holtmann said. “I think our guys throughout this nonconference slate have consistently come with the right approach in almost every game. It’s a terrific nonconference record, and we’re really proud of that.”
The ninth-ranked Bulldogs are an impressive 11-1. As they have done all season at home, the Bulldogs outmuscled their opponent in the paint.
