INDIANAPOLIS – Butler vs. Florida in college basketball? It’s a natural.
The two schools, which have met three times in the NCAA tournament, announced Monday they would begin a home-and-home series. The Bulldogs will play at Gainesville, Fla., in the 2018-19 season, and the Gators will play at Hinkle Fieldhouse in 2019-20.
“Every season they are near the top of the SEC standings and in the NCAA tournament,” Butler coach LaVall Jordan said of the Gators. “This series provides our team with another challenge to help prepare us for Big East play and also gives our fans another marquee opponent to look forward to.
