Butler will hire former Stanford assistant coach Mike Schrage for its basketball staff, IndyStar has confirmed. The news was first broken by CBS Sports.
Schrage has been an assistant coach at Stanford for the past eight seasons, most recently as recruiting coordinator. He is a 1998 graduate of Indiana University and has served in programs under both Mike Krzyzewski and Bob Knight.
Schrage replaces Michael Lewis, a former IU player who joined the Nebraska staff last week. Two former Butler players already on staff, Brandon Crone and Emerson Kampen, were thus not promoted by coach Chris Holtmann.
