Freshman midfielder Quint Breitkreuz’s overtime goal and first career Butler goal sealed a third straight win for the Bulldogs on Wednesday night. Butler beat Marquette 2-1 in a physical battle that produced 13 cards, one being a second half straight red to Marquette’s junior midfielder Alan Salmeron.

Marquette produced their first clear-cut chance in the fourth minute. Redshirt freshman forward Beto Soto cut inside from the right wing and, from about six yards out, dispatched a near post shot that was one of many saved by Butler’s senior goalkeeper Gabriel Gjergji.
