Butler has a new baseball coach.
Dave Schrage was announced as the Bulldogs' new coach on Tuesday, replacing Steve Farley, who held the position for 25 years.
Like Farley, Schrage has been a head coach for a number of years - 28, to be exact. Schrage was the coach at South Dakota State the past five seasons, but before that coached Notre Dame from 2007-10, leading the Fighting Irish to a 119-104-1 record during his tenure.
Schrage has also been the head coach at Evansville, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa and Waldorf (Iowa).
Schrage has coached players who have earned all-conference honors 75 times and 47 have gone on to play professionally.
