INDIANAPOLIS — As of now, Butler men's basketball has played itself into a top-four seed in the NCAA Tournament.
In an early reveal program on CBS, Butler was listed as the No. 13 overall seed. The Bulldogs were placed as a 4 seed in the South Region, hosted by Memphis.
Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis, chair of the Division I men's basketball committee, said Butler received the South Region designation because it was the closest to Indianapolis geographically.
Indianapolis hosts first and second-round games, but those assignments were not projected. Milwaukee is the next-closest early round destination.
