INDIANAPOLIS — With the two games Kamar Baldwin had, he could have been Big East basketball’s Player of the Week. He'll have to settle for Freshman of the Week.
The Butler guard was so honored Monday for the second time. He scored 18 points Saturday in the Bulldogs’ 70-69 overtime victory over DePaul, including their final five points in the closing 24 seconds. He scored another 18 in an 88-80 victory over Marquette. For the week, he shot 56 percent.
Butler trailed by 20 points at DePaul and by 18 against Marquette.
