Butler names Mike Uremovich its new head football coach

Butler named Mike Uremovich its new football coach on Monday.

Uremovich, who most recently served an assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Temple from 2019-2021, becomes the ninth head coach in program’s history since Tony Hinkle in 1935. He takes over for Jeff Voris, who resigned in November after 16 years in charge.

“Among a very talented and deep applicant pool, Mike stood out throughout every phase of our process," Butler Athletic Director Barry Collier said in a statement. "He built a strong program at the NAIA level as a head coach and has been a successful coordinator and coach at several FBS programs.
