Butler remains undefeated in the Big East with their double overtime 0-0 draw against Xavier, but fails to score in their second straight game. Butler moves to 1-4-2 and 1-0-2 in the Big East while Xavier moves to 3-4-1 on the season and 0-2-1 in the Big East. The Bulldogs are currently sitting in second in the Big East midwest division with Xavier in last.
Both teams started the game aggressively and maintained the physicality throughout the contest.
