Andrew Platek, a 6-4 shooting guard in the 2017 class, was offered a basketball scholarship by Butler during his campus visit Saturday.
Platek was one of three prospects visiting Butler this weekend. The two others are college transfers, Max Strus of Lewis University and Avery Woodson of Memphis. Strus, a Division II All-American, will have to sit out one year at his next school, and Woodson will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.
Platek is ranked 162nd nationally in his class by 247 Sports. His other offers include Miami (Fla.), Penn State and Rutgers.
He averaged 11.
