Butler keeps recruiting momentum, gets fourth commit in 2020 class

INDIANAPOLIS – Carlos “Scooby” Johnson might have put an exclamation point on Butler’s basketball recruiting when he announced his commitment late Wednesday night.

Coach LaVall Jordan has assembled Butler’s highest-ranked recruiting class ever, this time capitalizing on his Michigan ties. Butler’s class is now ranked 11th in the nation, and second to Xavier in the Big East, by 247 Sports. Indiana is ranked No. 8.

Johnson, 6-6 and 210 pounds, of Benton Harbor, Mich., played for The Family club team out of Detroit. He visited Butler’s campus about a month ago and has become the fourth member of the Bulldogs’ 2020 recruiting class.
