INDIANAPOLIS – There is little useful about a pandemic. Yet it is possible the Butler Bulldogs will not let a good crisis go to waste.
Granted, there are multiple ifs in this proposed scenario. However, the following is not far-fetched:
>> For 2020-21, Bo Hodges secures immediate eligibility and helps Butler return to the NCAA basketball tournament.
>> For 2021-22, Hodges, Aaron Thompson, Bryce Nze, Bryce Golden, Jair Bolden and a touted 2020 recruiting class make Butler a Big East contender and preseason Top 15.
If neither happens? Well, let’s just say the Bulldogs’ eighth place in the Big East coaches’ preseason poll might be optimistic.
