Butler grinds out win that ties it for the Big East lead

NEWARK, N.J. – Five years ago, the Butler Bulldogs were playing college basketball in the Horizon League. Halfway through their fourth season in the Big East, one of the nation’s most powerful conferences, they are tied with NCAA champion Villanova for first place.

Andrew Chrabascz bounced back from his first scoreless outing in 105 games, scoring 16 points and grabbing two key rebounds late as No. 11 Butler pulled way to beat Seton Hall 61-54 Wednesday night before a crowd of 7,009 at the Prudential Center.

Seton Hall had won 10 in a row at home since losing to – who else?
