INDIANAPOLIS – Butler freshman Jayden Taylor said Saturday he is weighing his future and has not decided whether to enter the transfer portal.
The 18-year-old Taylor made the announcement in the aftermath of Friday’s firing of basketball coach LaVall Jordan.
The lone recruit in Butler’s 2022 class, 6-10 Connor Turnbull of O’Fallon, Mo., told IndyStar he is “just processing it” and waiting to see who Butler’s next coach will be.
Two Butler players, Bryce Golden and Simas Lukosius, are already in the portal. If both leave, Butler would have eight scholarship players next season out of a maximum 13.
