PROVIDENCE -- Kris Dunn did not have a big night, but he had a big finish.
The Providence point guard sank two late 3-pointers – one was banked in – and assisted on the go-ahead basket, lifting the No. 16 Friars over No. 18 Butler 71-68 in Big East basketball Tuesday.
Dunn, a national Player of the Year candidate, had nine points and seven assists for the Friars (16-3, 4-2).
Kellen Dunham scored 21, Roosevelt Jones 16 and Kelan Martin 15 for Butler (13-5, 2-4). Martin also had 11 rebounds.
