Butler consistently recruiting higher-ranked players

Butler is enough of a heavyweight in college basketball to win NCAA tournament games and align with the Big East. Another step would be to consistently bring in touted prospects and recruiting classes.

The Bulldogs continue to face stiff competition, judging from quality of players recently offered scholarships. They include:

>> Kimani Lawrence, 6-6, New Hampton, N.H., ranked 46th by Rivals and 59th by ESPN.

>> Jordan Goodwin, 6-4, Belleville, Ill., 53rd by both Rivals and ESPN.

>> Alex O’Connell, 6-6, Milton, Ga., 66th by Rivals.

>> Jamir Moultrie, 6-6, Forestville, Md.
