INDIANAPOLIS —Butler reaped rewards Monday from its 83-78 victory over Indiana at Saturday’s Crossroads Classic.
The Bulldogs climbed to 13th from 18th in both Associated Press and USA Today/coaches’ college basketball polls. That makes Butler the top-rated team in the state. In coaches' poll rankings, Purdue is 15th, Indiana 16th and Notre Dame 24th.
No. 13 is the Bulldogs’ highest ranking since they were No. 9 on Dec. 28, 2015. They play Vermont at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Fox Sports Indiana) at Hinkle Fieldhouse before opening the Big East schedule Dec. 29 at St.
