Butler basketball vs. Central Arkansas: Three reasons Butler won easily

INDIANAPOLIS – Butler shot 57% and pulled away to defeat Central Arkansas 85-53 in college basketball Friday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Attendance was 7,390.

It was the Butler debut for Ty Groce, a transfer from Eastern Michigan who had been sidelined by knee soreness.

Jayden Taylor scored 18 points, Jair Bolden 16, Bryce Golden 12, Bryze Nze 11, and Chuck Harris and Groce eight each.

Camren Hunter scored 14 for Central Arkansas (0-2).

Butler is 61-1 in its past 62 non-conference home games. The Bulldogs (2-0) are home again Saturday night to play Troy.
