Butler basketball finishes with 10 in a row to beat Georgetown

INDIANAPOLIS – Butler closed a low-scoring game on a 10-0 run and clamped down on defense, resulting in a 63-55 victory over Georgetown in Big East basketball Wednesday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Point guard Aaron Thompson returned to the Butler lineup after missing five games because of a knee sprain. Bryce Golden, and then Thompson, sank baskets to beat the shot clock on successive possessions to push the Bulldogs ahead 59-55 as the game entered the final minute.
