Butler baseball began this season in the loss column but rebounded to take the series from the Rider Broncs in Lexington, South Carolina, this past weekend.

In Game 1 of the series, Ryan Pepiot gave up four earned runs in 4 2/3 innings and Rider was up 7-1 before the fifth inning was all said and done. It proved to be too much of a hole for the Bulldogs to overcome as they fell, 9-4.
