INDIANAPOLIS – Jordan Tucker sees Butler, and he sees what Marquette was a year ago.
LaVall Jordan sees Butler, and he sees what Butler was in 2006.
Anyone sees that Butler could use the National Invitation Tournament as a launch point for next college basketball season.
“As of right now, we’re just trying to build a foundation for next year,” said Tucker, the sophomore transfer from Duke. “That’s the best way to go about it. I don’t see anything wrong with that.”
The Bulldogs (16-16) will open in the NIT at Nebraska (18-16) on Wednesday night.
