Freshman guard Kamar Baldwin sparked a late 17-3 run, and the Bulldogs defeated Vanderbilt 76-66 Thursday night at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational.
Butler (5-0) will meet No. 9 Arizona (4-0) or Santa Clara (2-2) at 10:30 p.m. Friday for the championship.
Point guard Tyler Lewis led Butler in scoring with 15 points and added four assists. Kelan Martin scored 14 despite 3-of-12 shooting. Andrew Chrabascz had 12 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.
Baldwin scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
