The Bulldogs climbed to No. 9 in the Associated Press college basketball poll Monday, one place off their highest ranking ever. Elsewhere, senior Roosevelt Jones was honored as the Big East’s player of the week.
Butler (9-1) moved up eight spots from No. 17, by far the biggest jump of the week. The Bulldogs are No. 12 in the USA Today/coaches’ poll. They play Southern Utah on Tuesday at Hinkle Fieldhouse (8:30 p.m., FS2).
Butler’s highest AP ranking ever was No. 8 on Feb.
