The Butler volleyball team defeated the Providence Friars in three sets on Sept. 30, 25-18, 25-20, 25-14. Butler moved to 13-6 (2-1 Big East) on the season.
Junior setter Makayla Ferguson handed out 34 assists and finished with 14 digs, sophomore outside hitter Anna Logan added 17 kills and redshirt junior Whitney Beck contributed 12 kills.
“We came out with a lot of energy to get this win tonight,” Beck said. “We have taken the Seton Hall loss as motivation to perform well in the Big East.”
Providence fell to 12-7 (0-3 Big East).
