INDIANAPOLIS – This was always going to be a challenging recruiting summer for Butler basketball.
The Bulldogs changed coaches, from Chris Holtmann to LaVall Jordan, late in the year (mid-June). They brought in four scholarship freshmen, representing competition for minutes among anyone in the 2018 class. They have three available scholarships, and might award two. (Coaches often leave one open for a potential transfer.)
Even given all that, it is unusual for Butler to have zero commitments in what would be Jordan's first recruiting class.
