Butler improved to 8-1 with a 94-86 victory over Tennessee Saturday afternoon at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Kelan Martin came off the bench for a career-high 25 points to complement Roosevelt Jones's near triple-double of 21 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. With the loss, Tennessee drops to 4-4 on the season.
Butler's offensive efficiency was on display. The Bulldogs entered the contest ranked third in the country in scoring and the 94 points bettered their season average. Butler had 19 assists against only 10 turnovers and shot 52 percent in the second half to finish the afternoon 29-of-62 (47 percent).
