Vincent Kompany 'agrees deal in principle to become Bayern Munich's new manager', with the Burnley boss set to step into Thomas Tuchel's shoes after the German's exit

Vincent Kompany has agreed a deal in principle to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich manager, according to multiple reports.

The German manager is leaving the Allianz Arena this summer after talks to keep him on broke down - and the Belgian has been widely rumoured to be on the club's list of potential replacements, despite relegation with Premier League Burnley.

Bayern Munich were rejected by several of their proposed options for the managerial role, including Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick.
