James Tarkowski knows the end of the Clarets’ winless run must be a platform for a move up the Premier League table.
Tarkowski got the vital goal which gave Sean Dyche’s side a 1-0 victory over Brighton last Saturday to end an eight-game wait for a win.
That was enough to lift the Clarets out of the bottom three and two points ahead of 18th-placed Huddersfield Town.
Back-to-back away games at Tottenham and Arsenal won’t make it easy to continue the momentum in the short term.
But Tarkowski believes the foundations are back in place to continue to make progress.
