Steven Defour has lauded Burnley's fans for their support after his new club beat Liverpool on his debut.
Defour, 28, joined Burnley from Anderlecht last week and the club's record signing made an immediate impact by setting up a goal as the Clarets beat Liverpool 2-0 on Saturday.
The former Porto and Standard Liege midfielder experienced some problems with fans in Belgium but he was impressed by the backing Burnley received at Turf Moor.
"It was obviously nice to start that way," Defour was quoted as saying by La Derniere Heure.
