Sheffield United's game against Burnley goes ahead at Turf Moor just hours after revealing they have 'a number of positive Covid cases' in their camp with the Blades only naming seven subs

Sheffield United's game against Burnley went ahead as planned on Tuesday, despite the club revealing 'a number of positive coronavirus tests' just hours earlier.

The Premier League announced the highest number of positive test results since Project Restart on Tuesday when 1,479 tests returned 18 positives.

There were fears the match could be postponed after the latest outbreak - joining Everton v Manchester City on Monday - but the club have come through on their promise that it would be played - with manager Chris Wilder only able to name seven subs as a result of injuries and positive tests.
