Scott Arfield becomes first signing of Steven Gerrard era at Rangers as Burnley midfielder agrees four-year deal

Scott Arfield will become the first player to join Steven Gerrard's Rangers revolution.

The midfielder has passed a medical at Ibrox and agreed a four-year deal with the Scottish Premiership side.

Arfield was out of contract at Burnley following the end of the Premier League season and will be officially unveiled by the Gers on Monday afternoon.

The Scottish-born Canada international had been at Burnley since 2013, when he joined from Huddersfield Towen, and scored 22 goals in 194 appearances.

He will be the first signing made by Rangers since the club confirmed the appointment of Gerrard as their new manager.
