Striking prospect Lewis Richardson has signed on as a scholar to continue his footballing journey at Turf Moor.
The Clarets are delighted to have secured the services of the highly-regarded England youth international who has been part of Burnley’s Academy since the age of nine.
Richardson has joined the rest of the new in-take of scholars in signing a two-year deal and now has his sights set on building on last season’s big break-through.
“It all really happened after I scored five times against Crewe. It went a bit mad after that,” said the 16-year-old, who hit five of the Clarets’ six goals in a 6-1 win on his first start for the Under-18s last November.
