The 16-year old forward opened the scoring at a wet DW Stadium last night in the U23 Professional Development League, where the Clarets extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches with a 1-1 draw.
Despite Richardson withdrawing from the England U17’s last week through a minor injury, the forward recovered and started alongside Rob Harker in attack for Steve Stone’s side on Monday evening.
The youngster volleyed home Josh Benson’s cross with just six minutes on the clock and admitted he was more than delighted to bag his first goal since the end of August.
