Ashley Barnes set a new club record as he ended his best Premier League season yet on a high.

Barnes’ goal against Arsenal gave him a total of 13 for the season as he finished joint leading scorer with strike partner Chris Wood.

And his 12 in the league set a new Premier League mark for the Clarets – eclipsing the 11 Danny Ings scored in the 2014/15 campaign.

“I’m getting better with age!” laughed the 29-year-old who is Burnley’s top scorer in the Premier League era with a total of 32.

“I’m delighted with that, but I just need to keep working hard.
