Nick Pope has been included in the latest England squad ahead of this month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The Clarets’ number-one retains his place in a 24-man squad, alongside former Turf Moor team-mate Tom Heaton and Everton’s Jordan Pickford as manager Gareth Southgate’s three goalkeeper selection.
Pope’s selection follows an impressive start to the season since coming back into Burnley’s starting line.
And the 27-year-old was naturally delighted to receive notification for his call-up as he looks to help an unbeaten England side stay top of qualifying Group A.
“It feels good to put a few performances together and get into a bit more of routine of playing games every week.
