Nottingham Forest are exploring a loan move for West Ham attacker Maxwel Cornet... while the Hammers could let Said Benrahma go as they look to bring in Jota on loan

Nottingham Forest are exploring a loan move for West Ham attacker Maxwel Cornet ahead of the transfer deadline.

Forest know they are restricted to what they can achieve in the transfer market given tight finances but are interested in Cornet on temporary deal until the end of the season.

Cornet, 27, is on the peripheries of the Hammers squad, making just two Premier League appearances so far this season - though he did score in the club’s previous top-flight outing - the 2-2 draw versus Sheffield United.

And talks over a proposed loan move for Cornet to the City Ground are underway.
