Captain Ben Mee is backing the character in the Clarets’ dressing room to drag Burnley out of Premier League danger.
Sean Dyche’s side slipped to 19th in the table thanks to a 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
The Clarets are now winless in seven games ahead of the mid-week visit of high-flying Liverpool.
Mee admits confidence has taken a knock but insists no-one will duck the challenge of trying to spark an upturn in fortunes.
“There’s a good group of lads in there and we need to get together and sort it out and play with a bit more belief and confidence,” said the acting skipper.
