Manchester United continue discussions with Burnley over Wout Weghorst loan - with Besiktas wanting compensation as their £8.5m first option would have to be cancelled

Manchester United are continuing discussions with Burnley over a loan move for striker Wout Weghorst.

The Dutch international is currently on loan at Besiktas and that deal, which included an £8.5million buy option, would have to be cancelled first with the Turkish club wanting compensation.

Weghorst told Besiktas he wished to join United prior to scoring in their victory over Kasimpasa on Saturday, which Weghorst scored in.
