Jeff Hendrick delighted to score first Burnley goal vs. Watford

Burnley's Jeff Hendrick has set his sights on becoming a regular goal scorer after opening his international and Premier League accounts in the space of three weeks.

Hendrick found the net just twice last season, but was still influential enough in the Derby midfield to persuade Sean Dyche to spend a club record £10.5 million to bring him to Burnley.

The midfielder has now matched that tally in September alone, having scored his first Republic of Ireland goal against Serbia and headed home in the Clarets' 2-0 defeat of Watford on Monday.

"I said in the team room before the match to Stephen Ward that I'd love to get a goal and it felt great to do it," he told Press Association Sport.
