JBG Facing Lengthy Spell Out

Johann Berg Gudmundsson is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after being injured on international duty.

Gudmundsson damaged a hamstring in Iceland’s Euro qualifying defeat to France last Friday.

And Burnley boss Sean Dyche is resigned to being without the winger – who started his first club game since August as the Clarets beat Everton ahead of the international break – for a number of weeks.

“Unfortunately, he got injured on international duty and a reasonably serious hamstring injury,” confirmed Dyche.

“It certainly won’t be days. It will be more like weeks.
