Sean Dyche is looking to put the Clarets in a ‘strong position’ by making it a hat-trick of wins against Cardiff City on Saturday.
Victory over the Bluebirds at a sold-out Turf Moor would take Burnley 11 points clear of Neil Warnock’s side and the Premier League relegation zone.
Dyche doesn’t claim that would make survival a done deal, but with 39 points on the board the Clarets would take some catching.
“You can’t guarantee it. Like anyone, you want to work on facts, not maybes,” said the Burnley boss.
“I would suggest it would put us in a very strong position, stronger than we are in today.
