Crystal Palace 'identify Sean Dyche as Roy Hodgson's long-term successor' after Burnley boss hinted he could be open to a fresh challenge

Crystal Palace have identified Burnley boss Sean Dyche as the ideal long-term successor to manager Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson, 72, has recently signed a new one-year deal taking him to 2021 and there is no question about his job being in jeopardy at Selhurst Park.

But when Hodgson eventually decides to end his reign, then Burnley boss Dyche would be seen as the perfect replacement because of the job he has done in similar circumstances at Turf Moor, according to the Daily Mirror.
