Cork Up For 'Special' Night

Jack Cork is ready to rub shoulders with the elite as the Clarets prepare to take on Liverpool at a sold-out Turf Moor.

Saturday evening’s visit of the Reds will see Burnley entertain reigning European Champions for the first time since September, 1968 following Liverpool’s triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid in the Champions League final in June.

On that occasion, a Brian O’Neil goal gave the Clarets a 1-0 win over Matt Busby’s Manchester United.

And while Liverpool’s record of just one defeat in their last 42 league games, suggests a repeat will a tough task for Sean Dyche’s side, Cork is relishing the prospect of trying to spring a surprise against last season’s Premier League runners-up.
