Chris Wood is ready to deliver as the Clarets’ new number nine.
Wood has switched from squad number 11 after the departure of Sam Vokes to Stoke City in January left the shirt vacant.
And after scoring nine times in pre-season, the striker hopes his favourite number keeps coming up trumps.
“It’s a number I like to have,” said Wood.
“I have had it in a few places. I had it at Leicester and Leeds and so when it became available I thought I would take it and hopefully I will do well in it.
