Chelsea claimed their first victory of the Thomas Tuchel era after Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso netted their first goals of the campaign as the hosts climb into seventh in the table.
The hosts marked a dominant first-half display when their captain charged forward and finished off a swift counter attack after being cutely played in by Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The winger was a bright spark in the second half and created other opportunities for the Blues to extend their lead, but despite some wasteful finishing Chelsea secured their first victory under their new boss when Alonso thrashed home a second from close range.
